MODERN BURLAP’S SUMMER BUCKET LIST
Posted on 07 June 2016
With summer comes a whole slew of possibilities. Instead of letting the days pass us by too quickly, we wanted to be more intentional with these long summer days and create a ‘Summer Bucket List’ of fun ideas and activities.
We’re already planning lots of fun in the sun, lake trips, and trips to the Lischka Ranch on the Colorado River. We’ll spend days on the river boat and plan to teach Cross how to fish. There will be lots of playing in the sand with Rush! There are dozens of deer out there - it’s absolute beautiful scenery that make us appreciate nature so much. My husband bought a new camera drone to take photos and videos out there. I’m going to try to use it too! Cross has swim lessons for two weeks this month and Rush will turn ONE in a few weeks. We’ll be throwing an old fashioned cookies and milk birthday party to celebrate! With moving into our new house a couple of months ago, there is a lot of yard work to be done and I’d love to start a mini garden! With any other free time, it would be fun to go to a local lavender farm in Chappel Hill, Texas and a new water park in Katy. We have trips to the Houston Zoo planned with cousins, and of course we can’t miss the Houston Children’s Museum!
We’ll be using the below bucket lists (there are two of them! make sure you grab both!) as a guide to help us in any of those in between moments when we need a little spontaneity! I’m already looking forward to roasting smores outside!
And let us know what your own bucket list items are this summer. Let’s all inspire each other to make it the most fun summer yet!
