CRUSHING ON MAMA LOVE
Today we are excited to introduce you to one of our fellow #mompreneurs and all around go getter, MAMA LOVE.
MAMA LOVE has a mission that we are behind 100%; documenting and supporting mamas throughout the wacky, hilarious, hard, and beautiful journey of motherhood through intimate and stunning photographs of you and your bebes.
After recently becoming a mama for the first time this fall to a sweet baby boy, Sara Garza, a wildly talented photographer based out of Dallas, realized how incredibly special it was to have photos of herself with her new little love. No staged photos, no funny poses, just natural photos of herself with her new baby at home in their element. I think these are photos that we have all wished we had at one point or another.
Sara perfectly captures her purpose of MAMA LOVE on her website, stating: “No matter where you are in your motherhood journey, where you are RIGHT NOW is the bravest you've ever been. And it's in this very moment that your bravery makes you so beautiful. We don’t want you to forget how vulnerable and strong you felt in this season. How alone and full or exhausted and energized you've felt all in one sitting. That's why we exist. To celebrate the beautiful contradictions of this season of your life through thoughtful and intimate photography. Being a mom isn’t losing who you were before, it’s about continually growing into and embracing who you are becoming.”
One of our most favorite aspects about MAMA LOVE is that with each new series Sara publishes, she includes a quote on motherhood from the mama featured. These little insights into the different families lives and the way each woman seems to sum up motherhood so perfectly in so many different and various ways leaves us feeling refreshed and connected to each family.
One of our favorite quotes we’ve come across on MAMA LOVE is from Allison: "Motherhood is a giant beautiful mess...in the best way possible. The amount of love that exudes out of every pore for my humans is fiercely real. There are very few quiet times during our day but when there is a brief moment to think, I'm often overcome with emotion. God chose me to be Ryder and Ruby's mother and that is an enormous responsibility that I don't take lightly. I hope every day I can share God’s love with them and infuse joy into our daily routine. It's not easy running on very little sleep but you drink all the coffees, give all the hugs, kiss all the boo boos and try to make the best of it. At the end of the day, it's worth it - your heart expands to the greatest capacity it ever has or ever will." - Allison, mama of Ryder & Ruby
Isn’t that the greatest? Take a peek at Allison’s photos below, as well as some of our other favorites. And please check out and bookmark MAMA LOVE. We are huge fans of Sara and her new mission and look forward to each new post.
