It's a happy, happy day at our headquarters today! I was lucky enough to be featured over on the Meet Mom blog and was able to answer a few questions for Tiffany, and the interview is now LIVE! I've teased a few questions and my answers below, but for the full post and interview make sure to head over to the Meet Mom blog HERE!
Thank you for having me, Tiffany!
MM: In a word, how would you describe yourself as a mother?
MM: What has been the biggest surprise in owning a business?
SL: There is always more work to be done!
MM: How do you juggle everything: wife, mom, business?
SL: I do my best to set boundaries for business time and family time, but I also embrace flexibility. At the end of the day, my family always comes first. My kids and my husband keep me going.
MM: What is one piece of advice you’d offer for being a “mom”?
SL: Truly “be present” with your children.
MM: What is one piece of advice you’d offer for being a “mompreneuer”?
SL: It’s okay to ask for help.
MM: How has running a business changed you?
SL: I crave more knowledge. There is always more to learn when you build your own company and wear many hats.
MM: How has it influenced the way in which you raise your children?
SL: I try to encourage independence, creativity, communication, and learning – key tools that have helped me pursue my dreams.
