Colossians 3:12 in Context: Clothed in Compassion

Before Paul tells believers what to put on, he reminds them who they are: chosen, holy, and dearly loved.

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Before entering the next room, pause and remember that you are dearly loved. Ask which quality that room needs from you. Then offer it in a way that is specific and honest.

Father, thank You for calling Your people dearly loved. Clothe me with the character of Christ and make our community a place where people are seen and carried with care. Amen.
