Romans 15:13 in Context: The God of Hope

Hope can feel like one more thing we are supposed to produce. Paul turns our eyes toward the God who gives it.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ask the God of hope to fill the place in you that feels thin today. Then carry hope toward someone else through a steady presence, a truthful word, prayer, or practical help.

God of hope, fill us with joy and peace as we trust You. By Your Spirit, make our church a welcoming people whose hope overflows toward others. Amen.
