Receiving Feedback at Work Without Losing Heart
Feedback can arrive at an inconvenient moment, especially when you have tried hard. Give yourself a little space to hear what is being said and consider what might help you grow.
Listen to advice and accept discipline,

Proverbs 19 places listening to advice alongside the recognition that the Lord’s purpose prevails over human plans. The surrounding sayings value faithful conduct, kindness, and truthfulness. Wisdom includes a willingness to learn while holding our plans humbly before God.
Turn the feedback into a clear next step
Ask for a specific example and an explanation of what would improve the work. You can take notes and return with a thoughtful question after considering the conversation.
Evaluate the feedback carefully. A trusted colleague or supervisor may help you distinguish useful guidance from an unclear expectation and work out how to respond.
Choose one practical change and agree on a way to review it. If you need training, time, or clearer instructions, bring that need into the discussion.
Pray for humility without abandoning honest questions. Following Jesus includes growing in truthfulness and responsibility, and receiving wise counsel can help you serve the people connected to your work with greater care.

Lord Jesus, give me a teachable heart and wise discernment. Help me listen carefully, ask clear questions, and act on what is useful. Guide my growth so that my work serves others with honesty and care. Amen.
