The Practice of Gratitude

It's easy to see what's missing. What's not working. What you wish were different. And the more you focus on that, the heavier everything feels. Like nothing is ever enough. Like you're always lacking.

But gratitude shifts everything.

"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:18, NIV)

Gratitude is not pretending everything is perfect. It's choosing to see what is good even when things are hard. It's acknowledging that God is present, that He is providing, that there is grace even in the struggle.

When you practice gratitude, you train your heart to see differently. To notice the gifts that are already here. To recognize God's faithfulness in the small, everyday moments that you would otherwise overlook.

Gratitude doesn't change your circumstances. It changes you.

What is one thing you can thank God for today, even in the middle of hard things?
