If your child is between sizes: consider choosing the larger size to leave room for growth and the normal changes cotton can have with washing. Fit varies by child and garment, so use the product-specific options and notes as your guide.
Why the apparel is designed this way
The Organic Wardrobe was built to make everyday dressing simpler. Much of the line is unisex, and the solid colors and signature prints were chosen to work together across pieces, siblings and seasons instead of requiring a separate outfit for every item.
Fabric weight is chosen by style and purpose. Thermal pieces add warmth for cooler days, while lightweight layers and rompers are designed for warmer weather and easy layering. Each garment uses the construction that best suits how it is meant to be worn.
Many Modern Burlap apparel styles use GOTS certified organic cotton and tagless construction. Sizing on many baby styles continues through 18 to 24 months, and some pieces extend well beyond that.
We also kept practical baby details where they still made sense in larger sizes. On styles designed with fold-over hands or foot grips, those features continue into larger baby sizing, including up to 18 to 24 months on applicable pieces. Other styles are intentionally footless, footed, zipped, buttoned or snapped. The product listing is the source of truth for the exact construction of the garment you are considering.
The goal is simple: comfortable pieces that are easy to wear, easy to coordinate and useful for longer than one short stage.
