SHIPPING
We process all orders in-house in the Modern Burlap barn, and we ship once a week on Tuesdays.
Orders placed by 8:00 AM CST on Tuesday will ship that day. Orders placed after that will ship the following Tuesday.
During high-volume times (like sales, holidays, or new product launches), please allow up to 7 business days for processing. We appreciate your grace and understanding!
We’re unable to make changes to orders after they’re placed.
It’s just one mama and one amazing shipping helper running things here, and everything is packed with care. Please double-check your order and shipping address before completing your purchase.
Shipping Responsibility:
It is the customer’s responsibility to enter the correct mailing address at checkout.
Modern Burlap is not responsible for packages returned to sender due to incorrect or incomplete addresses. If a package is returned, it will only be reshipped after the customer covers the new shipping cost.
MISSING PACKAGES
If your tracking says “delivered” but you haven’t received your package:

Please contact the courier (usually USPS) to check the GPS delivery scan and escalate an investigation on your end.

Unfortunately, we don’t have access to more detailed tracking info than what’s publicly available.
Lost?
If your package hasn’t moved for 2 full weeks (domestic) or 10 weeks (international), please file a claim with the courier for a refund.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
International orders may be subject to customs duties or taxes, which are the responsibility of the recipient.
Delivery timelines vary—some orders may arrive in 1–2 weeks, while others may take 6–8 weeks, depending on your country’s customs processing.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
We generally do not accept returns or exchanges on orders. The only exception is in the case of a defective item or shipping error. If your item arrives with a defect or shipping error, please email Hello@ModernBurlap.com 💌 within 2 days of delivery.

We’ll send you a prepaid return label.

Once we receive the return item, we’ll ship a replacement.
Your original item must be returned to us before we can send a new one.
Thank you for understanding. Every product is generally a part of a very small batch!
PRODUCT DETAILS
Where are your products made?
All of our muslin items are designed in the U.S. and ethically made in China or through Fair Trade in India. Apparel is made via Fair Trade in India, and many of our items are small batch made. Restocks are never guaranteed.
Are your items organic?
Yes! Everything marked “organic” is 100% GOTS certified organic.
Are your inks safe?
Absolutely. All Modern Burlap materials undergo third-party testing to ensure they meet all CPSC safety standards. Safety is incredibly important to our family. We only design and share what we’d use with our own children.
CUSTOM REQUESTS
We aren’t able to take custom requests at this time, but we hope to in the future!
Because children’s products involve a lot of liability, all our items go through extensive safety testing before launch.
