Doing Good When Recognition Never Comes
Some work is quiet by its nature. A room is prepared before anyone arrives. A message of encouragement is sent privately. Someone remembers to check whether help is still needed. These acts of love can be brought before God.

After a serious warning about falling away, Hebrews encourages believers toward maturity, diligence, and patient faith. The writer assures them that God remembers the love shown to Him through their continued care for His people.
Keep your service rooted in love
Name the people your work is meant to help. Pray for them specifically, and consider whether the care you offer is still useful.
Thank God for the opportunity to serve. Ask Him to renew your motives when comparison or resentment begins to crowd out love.
Share responsibilities honestly with others. Faithful service can include asking for help, discussing expectations, and receiving care yourself.
Take encouragement from God’s attention to love expressed in service. Let that assurance help you continue with patience. And when you notice someone else doing quiet work, offer a thoughtful word of thanks.
A prayer
God, thank You for remembering the love shown in care for Your people. Keep us faithful to Jesus and sincere in service. Give us patience, shared support, and eyes to notice the good others are doing. Amen.
