On the drive home tonight, my 6 year old, Cross, asked me “mama where is the rest of the rainbow?” There was a rainbow up ahead to my right, and, in the rainy conditions, all the hues didn’t appear as usual. We could only see a red/hot pink/orange beginning for the longest time, and it was such an unexpectedly tall rainbow it just left you in awe. I couldn’t stop staring at it. Then Cross said “look at that!” On our left hand side was the most beautiful hot pink #EVASKY. Once the rain slowed a bit I pulled over to the side of our country road to try to capture it before it was gone. As the sun got lower, the sky turned more red, but for a moment right before this photo it was like time stood still as God painted the most beautiful hot pink sunset just for us! I also felt like it was God saying “Yes I want you to share this story, to point eyes to Eva and her family again, to help her family how you can and point eyes up to me” So here I am Lord. I heard you calling in the night. 💖
I’ve already said Modern Burlap will be donating $5 from every order this month to St. Jude’s for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, so that will still stand. Outside of the $5 from every order going to St. Jude’s, however, 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟬𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 *𝗮𝗹𝗹* 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘃𝗮’𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗚𝗼 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁. Check back this Friday @ 3pm here or in stories to see how much we raise + donate. In the meantime, I want to encourage you to keep Eva and her parents @dugansherbondy x @lindsayletters.co and her little brother and the rest of her family in your prayers. I also want to encourage you to share Eva’s story and rally more prayer warriors for her if you feel the Lord calling you too.
