Praying for a Coworker With Care and Respect
You spend part of your week beside someone whose life extends far beyond the work you share. Prayer can help you remember that whole person with care, even when you know only a little of their story.

Paul urges prayer and thanksgiving for all people, including those in authority. He connects this broad concern to God’s desire for people to know the truth and to Jesus Christ, who gave Himself as a ransom. Christian prayer reaches beyond our familiar circle.
Pray with care for what has been entrusted to you
Thank God for something you can honestly appreciate about your coworker. Ask Him to give them wisdom, support, and help with the responsibilities they carry.
If they have shared a concern, respect the privacy of that conversation. You can pray privately without asking them to disclose more. Ask permission before sharing a personal request with others or offering prayer together.
Let care also appear in your conduct: reliable work, considerate words, and a willingness to help appropriately. Honor their freedom in conversations about faith.
Pray that they may know Jesus and His love. When an opportunity to speak comes, listen well and answer honestly, allowing the relationship to grow through respect and sincere attention.

Father, thank You for the people I work beside. Please care for their needs and lead them toward the truth and love of Jesus. Make me a reliable, considerate coworker who listens well and respects what others entrust to me. Amen.
