Returning to What Matters

It's possible to be busy and still miss what matters. To move fast, check things off, accomplish a lot, and still lose sight of the people, the presence, the quiet moments that don't produce anything but connection. Maybe it's time to return. "Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed, or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." The Strength in Asking for Help

Maybe you've been trying to do it all on your own. To be strong enough, capable enough, together enough that you don't need anyone. And the weight of that is crushing you. The Sacredness of Ordinary Moments

You might be waiting for the big moments. The milestones. The days that feel significant. And in the waiting, it's easy to miss the sacredness of right now. The ordinary Tuesday. The quiet morning. The small conversation that won't be remembered tomorrow. But God is in the ordinary. "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24, NIV) I used to think that God showed up in the extraordinary. In the big prayers answered, the dramatic moments, the times when everything felt significant. But I'm learning that He's just as present...
