God creates
Genesis 1–2 · God creates, and human beings bear His image.
Humanity rebels
Genesis 3 · Sin fractures human life and relationship with God, one another, and creation.
God makes a promise
Genesis 12; 15; 17 · God calls Abraham and promises blessing that will reach the nations.
God forms a people
Genesis 37–50; Exodus 1–20 · God rescues Israel and makes covenant with them.
Land, kings, and prophets
Joshua through the Prophets · God's faithfulness continues amid repeated human unfaithfulness. God's promise to David shapes hope for a coming King; prophets call God's people back and speak of restoration.
Exile and return
2 Kings 24–25; Daniel; Ezra; Nehemiah · Jerusalem falls; some later return, while larger hopes remain.
Jesus comes
Begin with Mark 1 or John 1. Jesus announces God's kingdom and reveals who He is.
Jesus dies and rises
