A Prayer for Every Season

Life changes.

Some seasons arrive with joy. Others hold grief, uncertainty, work, waiting, or beginnings we did not expect.

Ecclesiastes 3 names many different human experiences and reminds us that God sees the whole story even when we can see only the season we are standing in.

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning.”

Lamentations 3:22–23, NIV

Those words rise from the middle of grief and turn our attention toward the Lord’s compassion and faithfulness.

A prayer for the season you are in

Faithful God, You know this season completely.

Thank You for every good gift within it. Where I am grieving, meet me with Your compassion. Where I am waiting, give patience and wisdom. Where change has unsettled me, anchor me in Your Word.

Where I have sinned, lead me to repentance and the mercy You give through Christ. Where I am tired, give help and rest. Where responsibility is clear, make me faithful.

Keep my hope fixed on Christ and shape me through Your Word, Your Spirit, and Your people.
