You've been waiting for a long time. And the waiting has been hard. You've prayed. You've trusted. You've believed that God hears you. And still, nothing has changed.
I don't have an answer for why the waiting is so long. I wish I did.
"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9, NIV)
What I do know is that God has not abandoned you in the waiting. He is with you. And sometimes that has to be enough, even when it doesn't feel like enough.
Your job is not to understand the timing. Your job is to keep trusting, one day at a time, that God is still good even when the waiting is long.
What are you waiting for today? Can you hold it with open hands, even when it's hard?
