When the Answer Is Wait

You have been praying, asking, and hoping, and nothing seems to be moving.

Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord” (NIV).

David’s waiting is active and hopeful. He seeks the Lord, asks for help, remembers God’s goodness, and chooses courage in the presence of difficulty.

There may still be a phone call to make, treatment to pursue, counsel to seek, work to do, or a question to ask again. There may also be an outcome you cannot force.

Waiting on the Lord means continuing to seek Him while doing the next faithful thing available to you.

Keep praying. Keep seeking wisdom. Take action where action is possible. And where the outcome is beyond your hands, return again to the God whose goodness David chose to believe he would see.
