The Good News That Reaches Every Nation
The church is larger than the people who worship in our own language. Around the world, believers are praying, learning Scripture, raising families, and following the same Lord.
from every nation, tribe, people and language,
(Revelation 7:9, NIV, excerpt)
In Revelation 7, John saw an uncountable multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language standing before God’s throne and the Lamb. They praised God for salvation. These people had come through great tribulation and were described as cleansed by the Lamb’s blood. Their future was marked by His shepherding care and God’s tender comfort.
Let your prayers grow wider
This vision lifts our eyes toward the reach of Christ’s saving work. Our local church belongs within a people gathered by grace across nations and languages.
Choose one church or Christian ministry in another part of the world to learn about through a reliable, public source. Read what its people ask others to pray for. Bring those requests before God with respect and attention.
You can also welcome believers near you whose first language differs from yours. Learn how to pronounce a name correctly, listen to their experience, and look for a practical way to share fellowship.
As a family, you might pray for one country or community together. Let the conversation center on people loved by God and the Gospel of Jesus. His saving work gives us reason for a wide, grateful hope.
A prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for gathering people across nations and languages. Strengthen Your church, guide our prayers, and teach us generous fellowship with the people You have redeemed. Amen.
