Walking in Obedience When You Don't Understand

Sometimes obedience is clear even when the outcome is not.

Scripture may call us to forgive, tell the truth, turn from sin, love an enemy, keep a promise, care for someone vulnerable, or seek reconciliation where it is wise and possible.

Other decisions require prayerful wisdom because Scripture gives us principles rather than naming every circumstance.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

Proverbs 3:5, NIV

Proverbs calls us to trust the Lord with our whole heart and acknowledge Him in the way we walk.

When Scripture is clear, obedience gives us a faithful next step even when we cannot predict the outcome. When a decision requires wisdom, pray, read Scripture carefully, seek mature counsel, consider your responsibilities, and remain teachable before God.

Trust in God grows humility because His wisdom is greater than ours.
