There are moments when the words won't come. When you sit in the quiet and try to pray, but all you feel is the weight of what you cannot name. Worry. Weariness. A longing for something to shift. And you don't know how to say it, so you say nothing at all.
I wonder if God hears that too. The silence. The ache. The prayers we can't find words for.
"The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans." (Romans 8:26, NIV)
You don't have to find the perfect words. You don't have to explain yourself to God or organize your thoughts before you come to Him. He already knows what you need before you do. And when you cannot speak, the Spirit speaks for you.
Prayer is not about eloquence. It's about presence. It's about showing up, even when all you have to offer is silence. God doesn't need your words to understand your heart. He is already there, in the wordless ache, in the quiet longing, in the space where you cannot find language for what you feel.
Sit with God today, even if you have no words. He is already listening.
