Dear Mama, Your Faithful Work Matters

Dear Mama, some days your work feels invisible.

You answer the same questions. Make another meal. Wash what will be dirty again tomorrow. Care for people who may not yet understand what that care costs.

Galatians 6:9 encourages believers to keep doing good without growing weary. The same chapter also calls believers to bear one another’s burdens.

Matthew 6 turns our attention from human praise toward our Father, who sees what is done in secret.

So love your family faithfully. Tell the truth. Repent when you are wrong. Ask for help. Receive rest and practical support with gratitude. Let other people carry burdens with you when they can.

The ordinary work of loving people matters before God even when nobody applauds it.

Prayer

Father, help me be faithful in the ordinary work of this day. Give me perseverance where I need it, humility to repent when I am wrong, and grace to receive help. Keep my eyes on Christ and teach me to love my family well. Amen.
