Open Bible and living green branch in soft morning light for Becoming More Like Christ

Becoming More Like Christ

Christians are being made more like Christ.

Philippians 1:6 expresses Paul’s confidence that God, who began a good work in the Philippian believers, would carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 1:6, NIV

Romans 8:29 speaks of believers being conformed to the image of the Son, and 2 Corinthians 3:18 describes transformation into His image by the Spirit.

Growth can feel slow from the inside. Philippians gives believers a steady reason for hope: God is faithful to continue His work in those who belong to Christ.
