How to Display a Scripture Swaddle as Wall Art

A Scripture swaddle can become a piece of your home after the newborn days. Start with the words you want to see and the space where they will be displayed, then choose a method that supports the fabric.

Swaddle + Wall Art means one textile with two possible uses. A separate paper print, frame, or hanging hardware is not included unless the individual listing explicitly says so.

First, measure the actual textile

Lay it flat and measure after any washing. Several Modern Burlap Scripture swaddles are listed at 47 x 47 inches, but the exact product and its current dimensions determine what will fit. Measure the full width, the lettering area, and the available wall space.

If you want every word visible, do not order a frame based only on the size of the phrase in a product photograph.

Choose your display method

  • A frame: useful for a defined, protected display. Choose a depth that accommodates fabric. For an irreplaceable keepsake, ask a professional framer about textile support and conservation materials.
  • A textile or quilt hanger: useful when you want the full square visible. Check the width, weight rating, and mounting requirements. Follow the hardware manufacturer's installation instructions. A narrow poster hanger may not support the fabric evenly.
  • A folded display in an adult space: useful when you want an easy change. Use a stable, secured rail or display surface where children cannot pull the fabric down.

Choose a location with care

Keep the textile, cords, magnets, clips, and hardware away from cribs, bassinets, changing areas, and children's reach. Do not hang it over a crib or drape it on a crib rail. Consider how a growing child might climb or reach, too.

Avoid direct sunlight and damp areas when possible. Keep the fabric away from heaters, candles, and other heat sources.

Keep the keepsake intact

Wash only according to the label and let the textile dry fully before display. Avoid cutting the fabric or attaching adhesive directly to it. If a display method strains the seams or distorts the words, choose a wider or more supportive option.

Let the passage remain part of the room

Read the surrounding Scripture together and write the gift date or family memory on a separate card to keep with it. The textile can carry a memory without needing an elaborate room makeover.
