They Grew Up Watching Modern Burlap. Then They Built Something of Their Own.

For most of their lives, our boys have watched Modern Burlap grow right alongside them.

They have seen the boxes come in and the orders go out. They have watched products move from an idea to something a family brings into their home. They have been around photoshoots, wholesale orders, customer conversations, packing days, mistakes, problem solving, and all the ordinary work that happens behind a small business.

To them, building something was never an abstract idea. It was simply part of family life.

And eventually, they wanted something of their own.

Meet Lischka Brothers

Lischka Brothers began with our boys and the things they genuinely love: fishing, hunting, the outdoors, drawing ideas, and dreaming up products they would actually want to wear and use.

What started as sketches and conversations became a real brand. They began learning the pieces that happen behind a product: choosing designs, thinking about customers, seeing what sells, working through inventory, and understanding that a business is built one decision at a time.

Jacoby and I guide them, of course. But one of the things we love most is letting them experience the work for themselves.

Modern Burlap has always been about more than things. It has been about the life happening around them. Looking back, it feels especially meaningful that the business our children grew up watching would become part of what gave them the courage to try building something too.

A Brand Growing Up Alongside Them

Lischka Brothers does not need to become Modern Burlap. We want the boys to discover what their own brand can be.

It is outdoorsy because they are outdoorsy. It is full of fish, field dogs, wildlife, caps, and ideas that make sense in their world. And as they grow, the brand gets to grow with them.

That is why you will find select Lischka Brothers pieces here among our Labels We Love. It is technically another label, but it is also part of our family story.

There is something special about watching your children decide that instead of only consuming what already exists, they might make something of their own.

We hope they learn how to work hard. How to serve people well. How to recover when an idea does not work. How to steward money. How to create with integrity. How to keep learning. And, more than anything, how to remember that success is never the whole point.

For years they watched us build Modern Burlap.

Now we get to watch them build too.
