A Church Learns to Share What It Has
A need in the early church became a shared concern. Acts places this generosity beside the apostles’ proclamation of the risen Jesus, showing a community whose faith took practical shape.

The believers are united, the apostles testify to Jesus’ resurrection, and God’s grace is powerfully at work among them. People contribute resources, and these are distributed according to need. Barnabas is named as one person who gives in this way.
Join in care that reaches a real need
Notice the connection between the Gospel being proclaimed and people being cared for. The passage invites us to take another person’s need seriously.
Ask your church how practical help is organized. Find out what is needed, who coordinates it, and what you can responsibly offer.
A contribution may involve money, time, transport, or a useful skill. Agree on clear arrangements and protect the dignity and privacy of the person receiving help.
If you need support yourself, consider speaking with a trusted church leader about the care available. Shared life in Christ includes both giving and receiving. Thank Jesus for His grace, and ask Him to grow a willing, attentive heart within your community.

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your grace and the life we share in You. Help our churches notice need, use resources responsibly, and care for people with dignity. Make our gratitude visible in thoughtful generosity. Amen.
