Making Room for a Family Conversation About Sunday
On the way home from church, a simple question can keep the conversation open: what did you notice today? A child may remember a verse, a song, or something they did not understand.

In Acts 17, the Bereans eagerly received Paul’s message and examined the Scriptures to see whether his teaching was true. Many believed. Their example brings together a readiness to listen and careful attention to God’s Word.
Return to the passage together
Choose one part of the teaching to revisit as a family. Open the passage and read a few verses around it. Ask what the words say and how the message connected to them.
Give everyone room to answer at their own level. A younger child might describe a scene; an older child might ask about a difficult idea. You can say, “That is a good question to look into together,” and follow up with a trusted teacher.
Consider one response that grows from the passage. It may be a prayer, an apology, an act of kindness, or a truth about Jesus to remember during the week.
Keep the conversation warm and manageable. A few attentive minutes can help connect gathered worship with everyday family life. As you return to Scripture, you are learning together to hear carefully and respond faithfully.

Father, help us receive Your Word with eager, thoughtful hearts. Guide our questions and deepen our understanding of Jesus. Let what we hear together shape our love, our choices, and our prayers this week. Amen.
