Psalm 131: Learning the Posture of Humble Trust
Some questions are larger than the understanding we have today. Psalm 131 offers a humble way to stand before God, with hope placed in Him and a heart learning to become still.

David turns from pride and overreaching ambition. He pictures a settled child beside its mother to describe his posture before God, then invites Israel to place its hope in the Lord. The psalm joins humility with lasting trust.
Name your responsibility and entrust the rest
Consider one concern that has been occupying your thoughts. Ask what part of it is actually yours to address today.
There may be a question to ask, information to gather, or a task to complete. Take that step with care and seek help when you need it.
Bring what remains beyond your knowledge or control into prayer. You can acknowledge a limit while continuing to learn and act faithfully.
Read the final verse aloud and let its invitation direct your attention toward the Lord. In following Jesus, humility gives us room to receive guidance, accept help, and trust God with a future we cannot fully see.
A prayer
Lord, teach me humble trust. Help me attend faithfully to what is mine to do and bring the rest before You. Give me a teachable heart, wise support, and hope rooted in Jesus through the uncertainties of this day. Amen.
