Choose by use first, then by print. A swaddle, layered quilt, and home throw can all be beautiful cotton textiles, but they are not the same size, weight, or type of item.
Choose a swaddle for a light, versatile baby textile

Choose a layered muslin quilt for more substance
The Swiss Cross + XO reversible quilt uses four layers of organic cotton muslin. It offers two prints and more substance than a standard swaddle for supervised floor time or reading together.
Layer count describes construction. It is not a temperature rating, and a quilt is not a substitute for an appropriate infant sleep setup.
Choose a muslin throw for a relaxed home layer
A muslin fringe or tassel throw works as a light layer for a chair, sofa, or other appropriate family space. Look at the trim, usable dimensions, and care instructions, especially if you want an everyday blanket rather than a decorative accent.
Choose a recycled cotton throw for a different texture and size range
Our XO recycled cotton throw is an 80% recycled cotton, 20% polyester blend. Its listed size options range from 30 x 40 inches to 66 x 86 inches, subject to the option currently available.
That blend is different from the organic cotton muslin in the examples above. Read the exact fiber content instead of applying one product's certification to the whole collection.
