A Simple Way to Remember Answered Prayer as a Family
A family may pray about something and then move quickly into the next day when help arrives. Taking a moment to remember can turn an answered prayer into an occasion for shared thanks.

Psalm 66 moves from praise for God’s great deeds to the writer’s personal account of crying out and being heard. He speaks honestly about reverence and the seriousness of cherished sin, then praises God for listening and showing love. His remembering leads others into worship.
Keep a simple record of gratitude
You might use a notebook with a date, a short prayer request, and space to return later. Keep private details brief and share only what belongs to your family to share.
When you revisit a request, describe what actually happened. Perhaps someone offered the practical help you needed, a conversation opened, or you received guidance for a next step. Thank God with specific, honest words.
Leave room in the notebook for prayers you are still bringing to Him. Children can learn that gratitude and ongoing asking belong within the same relationship of trust.
Read part of Psalm 66 together and invite each person to name something for which they are thankful. In Jesus, families have a lasting reason for praise and a welcoming place to bring today’s requests to the Father.

Father, help our family remember Your kindness with honesty and gratitude. Teach us to pray with reverence, give thanks for the help we receive, and keep trusting You with what we are still carrying. Amen.
