A Baby Dedication Prayer + 10 Bible Verses
A baby dedication is a tender moment of gratitude and commitment. Parents bring a child before God and their church community, thanking Him for this life and asking for help raising the child to know and love Jesus.

Father, thank You for this child. Thank You for every breath, every small detail, and every part of the story You already see.
Jesus, let this child always know Your love. Draw them toward truth and surround them with people who live the gospel with humility and joy. Protect their body, mind, and heart. Give them courage to ask honest questions, wisdom to recognize what is good, and compassion for people who are hurting.
Give these parents strength for ordinary days and grace for the days that feel too hard. Teach them to apologize freely, forgive generously, keep wise boundaries, and make their home a place where truth and tenderness belong together. Help them speak about You naturally in meals, work, play, celebration, disappointment, and rest.
Guard them from measuring faithful parenting by appearances. When they are unsure, give wisdom. When they are weary, provide support. When they fail, lead them back to Your mercy. Help their church family become more than witnesses to one ceremony. Make them present with prayer, practical care, encouragement, and honest friendship through the years ahead.
May this child grow in wisdom and in love for You and others. Keep their heart near Jesus, and let their life display Your kindness and grace. We entrust what we cannot control to You. Amen.
