12 Bible Verses for a New Baby + A Prayer for New Parents
Welcoming a new baby gives families so many reasons to thank God, pray, and return to His Word. These Bible passages can be read at a baby shower, written in a card, prayed during pregnancy, shared at a dedication, or kept close through the first tired weeks at home.

1. Numbers 6:24–26: a blessing for God’s care and peace
This priestly blessing asks the Lord to keep His people, show them grace, and give them peace. It is a beautiful passage to pray over a baby and the whole family welcoming them.
2. Psalm 139:13–14: known and formed by God
