Scripture for a New Baby
Welcoming a new baby gives us so many reasons to thank God, pray, and return to His Word.
Psalm 139:13–14
Psalm 139 praises the God who knows us completely and whose work is wonderful. These verses give families language for wonder and gratitude as they welcome a child.

James reminds us that every good and perfect gift is from above. A new baby is a beautiful reason to thank the Father for His generosity.

“We love because he first loved us.” Our love begins with God’s love, a truth worth returning to through every season of family life.
1 Corinthians 13:13
Faith, hope, and love remain, and the greatest of these is love. These words can shape a simple prayer for the home a child is growing into.
A prayer
Father, thank You for this child. Give this family wisdom, strength, joy, and deep love. Let Your Word be known and treasured in their home, and draw this little one toward Christ in Your good time. Amen.
