Understanding Life With Jesus
Faith + Journal / Life With Jesus
Begin with His grace. Bring your questions. Take time with His Word.
What is repentance? Why do Christians pray with confidence? What does it mean to belong to God? This collection opens those questions through specific Bible passages, with room to read carefully rather than rush toward a reassuring sentence.
A helpful reading order
First read What Is the Gospel?. Then explore reconciliation with God, the life grace teaches us to live, and Christian hope. Read one passage at a time. The order is a suggestion, not a requirement.
Grace, prayer, belonging, and hope
- What Repentance Looks Like in Everyday Life (Acts 3:17-21)
- What It Means to Be Adopted Into God's Family (Galatians 4:4-7)
- Why Christians Can Approach God With Confidence (Hebrews 4:14-16)
- What the Holy Spirit's Help Looks Like in Prayer (Romans 8:22-27)
- Responding to Temptation With Honesty and Hope (James 1:12-18)
- How Grace Teaches Us to Live (Titus 2:11-14)
- What It Means to Be Reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
- Treating Older and Younger Believers as Family (1 Timothy 5:1-2)
- What Christian Hope Looks Toward (1 Peter 1:3-9)
- The New Creation Hope at the End of the Bible (Revelation 21:1-5)
Take the question back to Scripture
After a reading, ask: What does this passage teach about God? What does it say about our need and His grace? What response does the text call for? Keep the distinction between what the passage says and a personal thought it brings to mind.
A reflection can help you begin, but it cannot replace the Bible or life with other believers. Bring continuing questions to a trustworthy local church that teaches Scripture and the gospel faithfully.
